Prenatal Lactation appointment- This appointment is tailored to fit your individual breastfeeding needs- whether this is your first time, or more. I can help you identify goals, and educate on lactating and breastfeeding an infant. We can also go over the breastfeeding items that can be beneficial for you to have and also how to make sure you know how to use your breastpump and that you have the right size of flange and get you all set up to help you reach your breastfeeding goals.

 

Lactation Assessment- This appointment is to establish care, complete a latch assessment, to make adjustments to help breastfeeding be more comfortable, and if there are any questions or issues that are coming up we can address this as well. We will establish a care plan for breastfeeding/feeding your infant.

 

Lactation follow-up Postpartum visit- These appointments are for after an initial visit, to follow up on anything that was discussed in first visits, can be used for new concerns after care and assessment have been completed previously. We can work on positions, latch, concerns with milk supply, baby transfer assessments, assessing weight gain, barriers to breastfeeding, health concerns.
